About the BEST Conferences

Building Enclosure Science & Technology (BEST) Conferences are organized by the National Institute of Building Sciences Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council and the regional Building Enclosure Councils of the United States. They are held in alternating years with the Canadian National Building Enclosure Council and the U.S. Department of Energy Whole Buildings conferences to allow collaboration between the United States and Canadian communities.  The mission for the BEST Conferences is to explore advancements in energy efficiency, moisture control, indoor air quality and the durability of buildings.

BEST3 Conference: Themed “High Performance Buildings - Combining Field Experience with Innovation,” the third Building Enclosure Science & Technology Conference will take place April 2-4, 2012, in Atlanta. BEST3 will offer participants two concurrent conference tracks: Energy Efficiency/Fenestration and Whole Building. Conference highlights will include an expert panel presentation on quality management. Twenty-two sessions will offer more than 70 peer-reviewed papers and allow participants to earn continuing education credits.  Additionally, a products expo will allow conference participants to speak directly to exhibitors and see the latest developments in building envelope products and services.
